Thanks to muffy and mickl I hope to have a replacement bonnet soon, this is going to have vents put in similar to james300 and I just wondered wether any of the guys here with vents in their bonnets have any problems with the engine getting wet when it rains, mainly concerned about the electrics getting soaked as I use the car daily, or am I better off trying to rig something up so that any water dripping down there is taken away via some pipework? any thoughts guys??

When you are driving the car it wont be a problem, however if you were parked and it pissed down then thats another story.

It dont really bother mine that much as more than half my electrics have gone in the bin.

You could try getting a car cover, which would keep most of the water out when parked - Concept Z Performance do one specific for the Z (make sure you get the right size though). Only problem is if you've got an aftermarket spoiler or wide-arch kit then it obviously won't fit.

Cheers,

Bart

I've got louvers vents cut of off the bonnet and they been there for two year and no problems except make noise at start up in the morning if you have alloy pulleys - I do have them.

And they have to be away from where water could collate

worry when you wash it
