Hi!

Well don't know how it got through it's last MOT without one but am in the process of fitting a rear for light/switch to my 300. Seems to be going ok so far but just working out where the switch can go, it's a small rocker type with an led. Have had a search and seems as long as it's visible it's ok, so was thinking how about in the ashtray, that way I can just pop it open and flick on/off, any ideas?

Cheers!

mine is on the plastic next to the gear stick

This light wont be visable inside the ashtry when closed .The idea is to see the light is on so you dont drive around for weeks with rear fogs on.Mines been drilled into console near gearstick. Also my converted reverse light appears pink even with a red bulb in.

Mine is on the clocks-side of the right-hand side switch pod. I like it coz no-one sees it unless the LED is on.

This is the switch that I have. I changed it from the ugly illuminated rocker switch that was on when I got it.

This isn't my dash, but is the same switch, mine is positioned to the left of the clock, which some would say you can't see because of the auto leaver, but you don't drive with the leaver in Park ;) so you can see it :D

These switches cost around £20ish, and mine glows (quite brightly) in a nice blue, to match my new dash back lighting.

That's nice. :)

Mine's in the footwell. Didn't want an ugly flip switch screwed to the dash. Gives me the option of moving it at a later date.

Now I know you can get those, I might have to change it. :)

Baz

And he then posted the picture you see above. I rang the number, and they do a whole host of matching switches as well.

Cheers Dave. :)

Unfortunatley, i've just checked that phone number, and it doesn't accept incoming calls  and I can't find anything on Yell.com either. Sorry bud.

Hang on, I don't give up, once I have my teeth into something ;)

Manufacturers UK home page, with address and phone number..... http://www.apem.co.uk/default.htm

And a pdf doc regarding the switch, bezel etc, with a note at the bottom right regarding different legends to apply to the face..... http://www.apem.co.uk/pdf/A03.pdf

It's certainley worth a try anyway :D

Cheers guys, maybe it wont be so bad then, next to the clock type area, footwell might be an option, don't want to start drilling holes then find out it's no good though!

I'm about to ditch my huge toggle switch from the lower left area - tweed at drivers left knee. Too big and easy to nudge.

New tiny rocker switch is going on top of right switch pod - like the hazard switch, only right hand side.
