sorry, but this is *****cks!!! i know its your opinion, thats cool. however you just generalised 3 genres, a way of life, a truly diverse music style and huge amounts of talented musicians in one statement! if you are only exposed to rap and hiphop they play on mtv then i'd completely understand your argument, but it sounds just like you need schoolin! lol.

 

i agree about modern, commercial rap stuff, its all about the pimp game and *****cks like that. however, true hiphop still exists, check out jurassic 5 as a prime example of talented rappers/singers/musicians who can write true lyrics that you can relate to.

 

its not that i'm just a die hard fan of rap or hiphop, i like all music and just wanted to tell you that you are wrong! i'm into rock, dnb, hiphop, triphop, punk, ska, jazz. to limit your music is to limit your mind.

Yup, it is my opinion. I like some of the older rap, i was smokin weed and jamming to the chronic when you were in nappies, Dr Dre, original snoop (before that cnut pharrell screwed him up), cypress hill, house of pain, even mc hammer in his day. Thats what rap is all about.

 

The way of life you talk about now is spending shit loads of money on cars, houses, jewelry and then rapping about it. Great! The modern R&B and hiphop is literally ALL the same...from the male point of view its about how hard you are and how cool you are, and the female side "how sexy i am" and "how much of a party animal i am". Diverse.....negative!

 

Now, I ask you, have you ever been to an illegal rave? Thats a party, NOT a load of so called rappers and skinny women who are paid to dance and be prostitutes.....50 cent is soooo hard and sooooo cool, surely he can have any woman he wants? But not he goes to a brothel, and the writes a rap about it ! WTF? Candy shop.....what a shite talentless tune. Anyone can write lyrics like 50 cent, or Pharrell, or Ja Rule, and deliver it in the same way. I cannot relate to 50 cent being so cool in the brothel or making milkshake that makes my mates come round. But I can relate to madness's house of fun, Cypress Hill's hits from the bong and Private Investigatios by dire straights.

 

And as far as limiting my music and my mind....how much classical music can you name? Do you know what punk is? Ska? D&B? Metal? Rock 'n' roll? I have countless cd's tapes and vinyl of all of this stuff, so DO NOT tell me i need to educate my tastes. In fact, get limewire out and download some Madness, or some Happy Mondays, Ultravox, Dire Straights, Nena, Berlin, Cheap Trick..... and then tell me my music and mind is limited?

 

Have a shottie, stick some hardcore on, and ebay all of your hip hop / R&B.
