OK probably a dumb question, here goes,

I noticed that many Zeds on here had big alloys yet on many of them the rear wheels seemed to be in under the arch, so would it be possible to put on spacers to get them to stick out a bit to give it that wider look?

Is there a downside to this?

I know what you mean - I hate the wheels tucked under the arches - makes the car look like a boat. The wheels/tyres are not supposed to extend further than the arches though AFAIK. Would it be better to get wheels machined to the correct offset?

yea i know what you mean, the fashion seems to be having all the width inside the arches but i prefare the deep dish kind of wheel with a bit of rim away from centre, the mother of wheels in my book will allways be the "brock2" as on sgt C with his swb

Most of the spacers I looked at come with bolts

I thought the spacers would just fit between the wheel and the hub and be held in by tightening the wheel.

So what would the bolts be for?

I've just removed some spacers from the rear wheels of my purple Z - bought from a forum member last week. They are those simple alloy disks. They are about 10mm thick and seem to have been on the car for a long time (rear wheels) so must have been put on before it was imported. Rear bearings seem ok.

Yours for the price of postage.

You can have the 5mm ones that came off the front too if you want them.
