Doin a little above 69mph ;) on a dual carrigeway and hit a fox....

even if i was doing 20mph I wouldnt have stopped in time :nono:

Its fooked the front bumper and ripped of the undertray...

BUT...

Worst of all its fooked two of my Neons

I think if Id of been going slower more damage may of occured as the speed I hit it I think it just anialated the fox :)

I was expecting to get out and see him collected in the intercooler duct but no...he must of been splayed into several pieces

Disclaimer...for all animal lovers of which i am one I did not intend on causing harm to any litttle four legged friends but sh1t happens :( )

Its all patched up with Gaffa tape for now ready for Da Pod.

shit fella, you dont get much luck

Bad luck mate. I dread the day something like that happens from the point of view of both the animal and the car. Always get nervous when I see those deer warning signs too because they can literally jump out of the hedge in front of you - actually had it happen a couple of weeks ago in the States, only it wasn't a wee deer, it was a ruddy great elk!! Slammed on the anchors, and luckily wasn't going too quick at the time so managed to stop easily enough, but it could have been ugly if it had popped out in front of me a second or two later, or I'd arrived a second or two earlier.

yer....

The next day there were warnings of deer on the roads and luckily I adhered to these warnings as on the way back from my mates fitting brembos I saw a deer on the side of the road and hit the anchors and stopped just in time to save the little fella

All thanks to the Brembos ...lol

lol...cheeky MoFo

I know what you mean though mate....

I wanted a bumper that was more aggresive than the norm and the C1 was the closest I could find.

Its not perfect but was close enough for now.

I was always going to modify the bumber but not just yet...lol

looks like I'll have to do it sooner than l8er now :(

Basically its the eyebrow lips I dont like above the indicators...this needs smoothing into a continuous curve like the std spoiler.

And I might round the lower corners by the wheels a little bit...they stick out too far

So after the Pod i'll be off to Halfords for some P40 to sort this little lot out

Heads up :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:

Unlucky mate - you still want to remove that ABS?? :x:

In Cornwall during the summer I had a seagull almost take out the front mesh on my 99-spec bumper.

I was doing about 85 on the A39 out of Truro, overtaking some old gits down hill and there were a flock of seaguls (not the 1980s group ;) ) in the road eating some dead thing. They all flew away as I thundered towards them, then I saw 2 coppers either side of the road with radar guns. I hit the brakes, slowed to 60 and one dozy gull came back to finish his meal.

Whack - he bounced off the bumper and his carcass was propelled in the direction of one of the coppers  Put him right off focussing his radar gun on the ZX :hyper:

Richard :D

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Christ, sorry to hear that mate - similar thing nearly happend to me the other night - was taking my Z'ed out for a good thrashing the other night and and a brown pant moment when I was doing about a ton and a bloody badger ran out in front of me!! Now that would have been messy and it would have killed my Z'ed and not the badger - there double hard little basterds these cornish badgers are!

i use to have a mini cooper before the zed, wrote that off swerving to avoid a dam fox, couple of 360's and a roll into the hedge, nowt left of the little car and im sure i saw the fox turn round and grin before legging it back into the field! ginger fooker

i was coming back from dungeness about 15 year ago been fishing ,it was about 5 in the morning and i was in my 323i bmw doing about 60 mph through this forest bit near ashford when 3 dear ran across the road in front of me,it ended up in the front passenger seat next to me fack the car and nearly me,car was a write off and yes the dear died two minutes later, the poor thing screamed with pain and it was awful watching it die as i was still trying to get out the car, fooker broke my nose, bruised chest and busted hand

If the said fox was fookin, i hope it had said goodnight to his ladie fox!!! :D

FFS, i must of bumped me heeeeeeeed or summit today! :)
