ive had my zed up for sale for a bit now, and TBH im sick of people with a "low budget" ringing up and making pointless offers..............

 

............ BUYER: "hello, i would like to buy your zed (sounds good so far), how much would you take?

 

ME: "well its advertised for £4495ono, or may take p/ex"

 

BUYER: "well ive had 2 of these, and the last one was 400bhp had 18inch alloys worth the same price as a castle, had full leather interior, was alot better than yours, and i got it from a garage for £2.5k, so i dont want to pay too much for yours as it is 15yrs old now!"

 

ME: "if you can buy good zeds all modded up for that kind of money, then get as many as you can and sell them, cos you'll make a fortune!"

 

BUYER: "thats all their worth now though mate"

 

ME: (kinda cheesed off!) "sorry mate, im not giving it away!"

 

i just dont see what joy people get out of by ringing up cars for sale, making the most dumb offers in the world, totally slagging off your motor telling you they are actually a crap car and you'll be lucky if you can give it away! you always seem to get them with any car your trying to sell, i know i have!!!??? :confused:

You don't always get what you think your car is worth when you sell it but there is no excuse for putting down a man's pride and joy...

Most people are like that mate. They ain't got anyway near the budget but still go and look at cars 2 grand over what they can afford, f**king wasters. Don't worry fella you'll sell it, it is a manual TT after all! Its just the markets bad at the moment, no ones spending any dosh.

yep it pisses me off to :mad: ive got a catback zorst for sale at the moment,ive had stupid offers on it and iff i dont get the price i want and think its worth then ime gunna bend the fvcker over the local tom cat that pisses on my tryes everynight and stinks my car out,then with the bent mangled pieces of pollished s/s re-shape them into the names of the people who bugged me for them and had no fvckin money in the first place :headvswal :headvswal (should of put in rant section i know)

i never had a problem selling mine it went to the first guy who called and i got sooooooo many calls afterwards was prob the easiest car sale ive ever had but that was 2yrs ago now

The Trouble is, all these wannabe owners, see the Rough examples popping up on Ebay and the likes for a lowly £2.5k(most never actually sell for this, either by reserve not met or the seller removes car before auction end), and expect them to all be so cheap.

I think if you acctually get these people to come and look they are refered to as tyre kickers. I would have just told him " I dont mean to be rude mate and i understand what you are saying but! fook off and buy the cheaper car and stop waisting my time" :smash: :xxx: 's all of them. They dont want your car they aint got no money.

Same with selling any car though mate :headvswal

 

When I was selling Julia's Micra a few years back I advertised it for £2,500 which was below book value at the time. The car was immaculate - low mileage FSH and we'd owned it from new yet I lost count of the number of :xxx: s that rang up asking "would you take £1,800?"

 

I'm not being racist here nor am I making a generalised suggestion but they were almost all asian callers.

 

I got fed up with saying "how can you make such an offer without seeing the car. Come and see it then we'll talk" so I used just switched to using 2 words - f*ck off!

to get a nice condition TT manual Z your look at around 4.5k i'd say....

i gave 4750 for mine (well technically i didnt coz i swapped it for my evo, but thats wat i payed for the evo) and the body is mint, the interior is one of the cleanest ive ever seen and it had done 60'000 miles on a 1991 H - plate

forgot to mention - it came with a full kakimoto exhaust, trust front bumper and full tein coilover suspension

really like the cream/black interiors im seeing on a few Zs. are these the seat covers that zcentre do? and can you get the matching door panels from them too? look so sweet!
