Any ideas how much this would cost???

Take off rear standard spoiler, fill holes then paint. Don't want the whole car painted but once done to have the whole car mopped.

Cheers

if you take of the rear spoiler you will need a cover that sits on the back and covers all the holes up then just blend it into the boot. zcenter selles them for around £75 ??? as for price its all down to where you go. from £100 - £300 i would say for a garage job.

No you dont need a cover... but its not just the bolt holes that have to be sorted. When you remove the spoiler you are left with a large slot that runs the width of the boot where the third stop light sits. This can be filled smooth or you can fit one of the black plastic cover strips, these come with or without a brake light. so its not Just get the holes welded up and the tailgate painted. If you go for the cover, it will cover all the mess left by the spoiler, but it comes with a raised back edge (like a little spoiler) so you dont get that smoothed off rounded look.

Either way £200 labour and paint would be about right, but that's + the £100 for the parts.

Chris..

i'm thinking of doing the same job. If you look on the zcentre website here:

The plastic persex cover is only £35 and i've been quoted £100 to get it done. I think there's about 4 holes left on the top of the boot which can be filled/welded up and a large slot where the brake light goes but you don't need to fill this cause the perspex cover covers it up. Total £135 You might as well have some other bits done at the same time (if any) as the paint will be mixed up - shame to waste it.

Both the skin and the perspex cover with third stop light are £85 + VAT. each.

So you will be verry lucky to get any change from £200..

Chris..

I don't think you need the skin or the third light, just the prespex cover for £35 +vat
