dont know what on though choice of three!!!

1. wheels and tyres - 18s on at the mo but very badly scuffed must have very deep kirbs in japan lol!

2. body work - although almost immaculate for age, really impressed, would look vewy nice with a shiny new coat of paint though.

3. engine - not really much wrong either maybee could do with a good srevice. slight fuel smell. (recomendations?)

1K can get swallowed up very quicky with a Z!

If its in need of a service then that will be top priority, if you have no record of the last cambelt change then go for a 60K service. Not sure of the labour charges as I do the work myself.

That may leave you enough to get your wheels refurbed.

Exhaust and filter is always a nice mod aswell. First step towards uping the power.

don't bother thinking about, give it time and your zed will work it out for you :smash:

subscription

exhaust, air filter, chip, boost controller

Hi Craig

As already said, if you have not done so get the 60k service done.

Fuel smell, assuming it's just started when the weather got cold in the mornings this week, is just the hoses wearing a bit loose. Before you start renewing them simply tighten the hose clips - there are loads of them - as 9/10 times this cures it.

Respray? If your car is fine then don't bother - besides £1k will probably not be enough for a really top job.

If you like your wheels then have them refurbished and fit decent tyres like Goodyears, Toyos Michelin Pilot Sport etc. This really transforms the handling and grip - cheap or crap tyres really show up on these cars.

Otherwise you can get a nice Blue Flame cat-back s/steel exhaust for £350 direct from the company on their E-bay site. Fitting only £50-ish at your local garage I reckon and an Apexi filter is around £100 from Danny in traders section.

If it's running fine then enjoy it - keep the grand in case something breaks.....

Richard

PS subscribing costs £20 and is well worth the money :p

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Why do one or two when you can do all three!

I reckon £600 for a cambelt service (unless you can prove it was done recently), £250 for wheel refurbisment.

I would say the £150 remaining is more than enough for your subscription and for a bodyshop to chuck some compound on your car and go over with a mop. Should put the shine back in the bodywork:)

Justin

Well unless you want the local nursery to paint it then £1k wont paint all your car. Wheels, see if you can get them refurbished? Cambelt essential with no history and then the other mods previously mentioned by others.
