Very low on fuel in the Zed yesterday. Had to put a £10 worth of 95 in yesterday as everyone had sold out of Super/Optimax etc.

Taking it really steady...ie ZERO boost!! lol

Yeh i did on the way back from JAE just turned my boost controller down to 5psi and had no problems.

I run mine on that most of the time. Exceptions are hot days and dyno sessions.

LOL - my local Shell only has Optimax left!

I always use 95...is that bad???

:( I wish i could, but mine just wont run on 95!

95 will do no harm at all........if you have modded the car a lot then i would use optimax, but only if your Ecu is chipped and mapped for the higher octane only IMHO

rather leave her at home or in the garage than run on 95 !!!

Likewise, needs must I guess. Mines never seen anything other than an optimax or tesco 99ron , don't intend to introduce them anytime soon!

Same here yesterday, did 27 miles on that £10!.... lol :D

UK engines are designed to run on 95.

They will run on 95, considering the US run them on 92.

I have used 95 before and I got to admit the car didnt feel as sharp as with Optimax or Tescos 99.

me too, no probs. mine's standard though, but i can it all the time!

I normally use regular 95ron but then I've got a Uk spec car so normally no problems there.

I do use Optimax in very hot weather though after having a couple of issues with detting a year ago.

I generally experience no performance difference between the two, although I do get more MPG from Optimax, which offsets the extra cost.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I use 95 all the time on my Jap, I've had two tank fulls in the past of Optimax and couldn't tell the difference TBH.
