Seems a lot of Japanese owner de-badge them for sleeper mode. My twin turbo had had the nissan and twin turbo lettering removed.........

It still results in people asking "what is it......?" I like watching their faces when I say "oh its just an old nissan".......!!!!!!!!

I have a UK spec which had "twin Turbo" on one side and "Nissan" on the other - can't remember which way round.

Anyhoo, when I had the fibre-glass replica OEM spoiler fitted I just put a black/chrome "twin turbo" badge on the right side. I've replaced the nose panel with a J-spec one so there are no Nissan badges on the car at all.

I too love it when people ask what it is - they just don't believe it could be a Nissan

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

No Jap spec TT ever came from the factory with a Twin Turbo badge on the back. Just Nissan and Fairlady Z

Nearly right! The Jap version came from the factory with Fairlady Z on the left hand side. No other lettering. The n/a was the same.

Mine has Fairlady Z written on the right!!

My j spec had the badges removed when it landed ,shame really, but I have seen some aftermarket ones on ebay, supposed to the same as oem ones.

you can get oem ones on ebay.com which have a placing guide on them to line them up 100%. I re-badged my JDM TT then having replaced the stock spoiler (which I love) with a newer non-spongy one I have decided to de-badge again (just love the "what is it mate - old nissan reply" Instead I have just populated the underside of the spoiler with colour aluminuim tuner bades. They look way cooler under the spoiler and much better than vinyl on the wings.

My missus cracked a funny the other day when next to a saxo with its front wing tuning vinyl she said "trouble is its a shopping list not its spec sheet !" :D

Yup, I've just bought a set of those. Very good quality by the looks of things. Won't be sticking them on though until I replace the dark red rear replacement panel with a black one. They are silver though, not the original dull silver with the golden tinge. So it looks a little more fresh.

Not going to put the 'Fairlady' big on though, just the NISSAN Z .......TWIN TURBO....then I'll leave it at that.
