Been asked by Ryan to post this up, as he is away on holiday, and getting lots of phones calls.

So here is a statement he has sent and asked to be posted;

Having had lots of phone calls from people asking if ZTech has gone bust. The answer is NO!, nothing has changed , ZTech is very much alive and kicking.

Trading status has not changed.

When we set ZTech up we set up two companies, one limited and one not limited. We have not used the limited company but the law requires that we submit annual returns to companies house- however as we

have never traded under that name we have no accounts to submit and therefore we 'dissolved' ZTech limited.

Its as simple as that - we're on hols this week and will be back to the business in hand next week.

Thanks

Ryan

Vijay? no malice just thought the thread was meaningless without the information, that is incidentally available for full public gaze as is all Ltd company information, I for one have known about this for a long time and said nothing here, the London Gazett issued a public legal notice to the effect last month in their usual Ltd company notices.

Appologises for any offence

Well, i hope for one they dont, greg works there, and is a top guy and a friend.

BUT, if it is true, then lets not forget ryanand greg are members, and im sure no one would want thier financial details spoken about

Yes jeff but ztechs announcement have cleary stated the exact reason why this information is being displayed, it is not the company people on here deal with but another configured by ryan when he was exploring his options.

And before the spread of FUD starts (fear, uncertainty and doubt) The london gazette publish details on companies matters, and striking a company off is perfectly acceptable in british business and TBH with you very sensible to do so if you are not using it. You are not obliged to trade as a limited company.

all i know is that ryans going to be working on mine shortly after he gets back from hols so i dont think hes going anywhere.

if he couldnt do the car or was shutting down i think he would of been decent enough to tell me there and then on the phone..

more bitchin than def comedy jam.....

why are people still talking about Ztech closing down. This is NOT the case. They are a Very successful and thriving business.

Explanation for the Confusion is well explained in Shunters post.

here here!!! i will second that..

hey legrath.. you got any food for me??? anyone?? please..

i am surprised **** is still allowed on this forum fookin arse ache :xxx:

case closed PMSL

It is a perfectly normal thing to do if you do not need a ltd company.

However it would have probably been in Ryan's interest to have kept the dormant company on record at Companies House.

Dormant companies no longer have to prepare and file accounts, they can just submit a DCA10 form. The only annual cost is the 363 annual return filing fee of £30 (£15 online).

That way Ryan could have maintained some protection over the name Ztech and had a company ready to use should he decide to go limited later. Plus he'd have saved himself the agravation the dissolution of Ztech Ltd has caused him.

Good to know he is still up and running

Cheers for the info Rich I was not aware that option was option

Back from hols now and looking forward to getting back to work but just to follow on from the anouncement due to the rumour mills getting themselves in a little frenzy

when ZTech was set up we as many other companies have the option of being either a sole trader or a ltd company. The big plus of being a ltd company was down to the liability this would be held with the company and not the person concerned the downside of this would be that the customer would really not be left with a leg to stand on which is clearly as a garage not acceptable. we set the ltd company up to secure the name but never used it hence when we came to the end of the financial year companies house required accounts which as the company had laid dormant for 12 months were never submitted

so we are infact a sole trader, the liability which any respectable garage and tbh I think all garages by law should have to not only protect the owners but the customers is obtained on top, It is very easy for an owner to walk away from a ltd company if there is a problem where as a sole trader literally puts his house on the line

ZTech is in a very fortunate finacial position and has a had a very good first year of trading so much so that we are investing in more speacilised equiptment and looking at employing more staff for the garage and the bodyshop

So I hope this clears up a few fears for our loyal customers and fooks off the idiots, ZTech is not going anywhere
