i just bought a sat nav and its all connected fine except it needs to connect to a speed line from the ecu , whereabouts should i be looking for this? where in the car the ecu is or where a description or pictures can be found would be even better

ECU is in the passenger side footwell - lift the carpet then remove the wooden board - presto ;)

 

Cant quiet work out why satnav needs to be connected to your speed line as GPS triangulation should sort out your speed.

Strange....Satnav gets its speed reading from the GPS satellite signal :confused:

It's for extra accuracy, and for when you go between tall buildings and lose the signal etc

The ecu is under a wooden board in the passenger footwell.
