WHEN I drive and i put my foot down in full load the revs normally go higher than they shud, they go all the way to 6 then back. is this the reason why its not as fast as it shud be?

could it be the gearbox or the clutch.

have a look on ebay.com (not uk) there is one on there for quite a good price :) just mind the fiesta's untill you get it fixed! :xxx:

Don't leave it too long, now that it's slipping, what's left will wear at an alarming rate. You don't want your flywheel scored due to wearing down the friction plate down to the rivets...once this happens, it's new or machine flywheel time.

if your running stock boost then it should be ok for a short while! you tend to find when people up the intake it puts the clutch under more load making an already worn clutch fecked!

rps sport or max is a good upgrade and a lightend flywheel to go with it,just make sure when you get the clutch changed that the flywheel is ok and not damaged on the teeth or the disc itself!

If not ebay.com get a clutch from Smithy - one of the traders on this site - he gives a good price and his clutches are EXCELLENT :) I got an RPS upgrade from him and have been well pleased.

you *may* be able to help extend the life (not by much!) by adjusting the rod on the cluch pedal if there is no free play there.

otherwise - time for a new clutch, uprated RPS from Smithy or stock one from Mike @ MJP
