Bought a Compression tester. Anyone know what the Compression readings should be on the Twin Turbo?

Featured Replies

between 9 to 12 bar

max 1 bar difference between cylinders

Thankyou. Its also says on the instructions to unplug the lead running from the coil to the Distributer pack. As we have coil packs what do we do?

best is to unplug the main EFI fuse, which not only disables the PTU, but the injectors are disabled at the same time (so no fuel is injected during the test)

The main EFI fuse is the most left fuse (green one) in the main fuse box in the engine compartiment

Thanks. Dont spose anyone has the Diagram of the under hood fuse box?

Found it. Managed to test two cyliners before the cruddy halfords tool broke on me. was reading bout 150psi per cylinder so looking good. Anyone know where to get a compression tester with a long metal piece in as the spark plug well on the Z is very long.

I've got one in Badminton which is quite near you, but I won't be up that way for a few weeks, but if you arn't sorted by then let me know. Dave
