Cooling System.

hi guys

about to change old radiator for KOYO performance one from Greddy. can somone tell me where the drain cocks are on both sides of engine? my Z is a UK spec Manual '93. i have drained system so far remove radiator. but cannot see where these drain cocks are to flush system.

 

Or is there a better way to flush and drain system before filling back up demin+antifreeze?

I didnt realise there were drains on the enginne, just the rad i thought. Could be completely wrong though.

there are drain plugs on the block as well, but these are a bit hard to reach with the engine in the car.

Both are near the L+R engine mounts on the front side of the engine.

One sits behind the AC pump, the other one sits behind the alternator

 

Easiest is just to drain out as much coolant as possible (remove radiator), put some pressure on one of the coolant pipes to get most out of the block.
