Yes I know... I shouldnt be reading Max Power but I had nothing better to do and I was waiting for a friend so I thought I'll go browsing in WHSmith and see what has change. Not much but there was definetly an odd number of 300ZX in the mag for some reason. A huge amount actually!

 

There's an article about import cars and what you should get... they had 300ZX in there and listed it at from £1500. They've seem to be featuring the Z alot these days. Could this be the reason why we are having an influx of young Z drivers these days!? I'm already feeling old and I've still got a few more years before I hit my 30s! :slap:

A chav isn't going to be able to afford to run one of these full stop. You need a job for a start!

 

I can't really see the little bastads forking out £200+ a month on fuel alone, let alone the tax and Insurance...

 

To own a Zed is definately a commitement financially as well as your spare time kept maintaining it. I can't see it becoming a Chav car, no way.

Depends though, a lot of people use their zed as a daily driver. I don't. Not driven it since Tuesday I don't think. So, will cost different people, different things.

Had a flick thru Chavpower the other week (Dont worry, nobody saw me I was very carefull), and they had the stats all wrong listed for the TT

 

0-60 - 7.1 secs

Top speed - 148mph

 

Looks like they put either NA stats or the old Z31 stats by mistake.

 

Thought about correcting them but perhaps it will stop all the saxo boys from buying them.

Audi TTs are ugly. Not in the least bit keen on them...as with most German car styling. Especially ALL new BMWs. Vile!

im sorry to say this guys but i happen to live in the city where max power is produced and while having my alarm system fitted i was approached by a member of there staff asking if i would be prepared to have my car in there mag and i am no chav

Damn it, with prices like that any Chav would prob pick it up! Nice to hear the comments on this, I was getting a little worried that this forum might turn into a toyotagtturbo.com where everything they race they can beat! Though it's a little more believable with a Z.

 

Though this doesnt mean there isnt a few idoit Z owners out there! I just hope we never have more of them then 'us' otherwise I'm gonna go find meself a new car! :nono:

I would do all I can to KEEP the Zed a quiet (well not in the literal sense) supercar. I really don't want to see anymore in the chav mags either. Everything goes downhill once the idiot majority start to think of it as 'cool'. At the moment the average chav will know what a Zed is but wont want one because it wasn't in F&F, thats the way it should stay. I don't care about the price of the car, its cheaper cars for us, a couple of grand price hike is peanuts compared to the running costs anyway. Everytime I pick a chav mag up ( I actually bought one the other day because it had a Zed in) it reminds why they shouldn't be there. The blurb that went with the article was utter shit going on about the 'murdering turbo' or some *****x. These c*nts don't know the turbo from the exhaust and so wouldn't understand any writing about the work,love and skill that had gone into the car. I wish the chav brigade hadn't caught on to the power in jap cars at all , and had stayed with their sh*tty corsas and escorts. Well am 17 and one day i will have my own 300zx well because like eveybody on here i absolutely love everything about the car looks, preformance etc.. only the wallet is a worry lol. I agree with you when you say the Zed is underated but then again if less idiots are buying them and more enthusiasts are then they will last a longer life as less accidents with them will happen. (well thats what i think). I've noticed there are nto many people on thsi site my age and i know you reckon this is a good thing but then again not all have a good taste in cars like me. hehe Them and there scooblies and skylarks. To be honest the way i like the Zed modified is the exact same way some of you have put yours so i know it wont look crap.

Chavism is an attitude not an age, it just so happens a lot more youngsters have that brainless attitude. There's no worries with a 17yr old having/wanting a good car, they just have to realise they are inexperienced and should give it some respect and not drive it like others drive a saxo.

I think its a really bad thing that the max power type mags are featuring so many powerful jap cars now, its just not going to do the whole scene and cars any favours at all. I don't want the association or the commercialism.
