My girlfriend is a foster home for animals, basically she looks after them while they are re-homed. About 3 months ago she was given 2 chinchillas which has previously been abused.

They are currently in desperate need of rehoming. So the question is, would anyone on here like a pair of chinchillers? They are a male and a female, sterelised so you wont end up with 100's of them! They are now in good health and very active (i spent half an hour trying to catch one of them and am now catching my breath back on here ). They are both 8 years old, and are expected to live up to 20 years.

They are adorable animals and make great pets, however I would not recommend them as a childern's pet as if held wrong they will bite.

You will have to provide a cage however as this belongs to my girlfriend and she wants to keep it for further animals.

If you are interested in these or other animals then please send me an email to benlawton86@hotmail.com or reply to this thread. Please ask for pics and I will happily email as many as you want!

Thanks

Ben and Febes

Forgot to mention - please check these people out as this is where the foster animals come from.

Anyone?

How do you abuse chinchillas exactly? I mean, what can you do them? Short of flushing them down the toilet or microwaving them?

Strange animals, but kinda cute, my sister had them.

I'm sure chunk would happily make a Chinchilla Pie.

:slap:

I'm sure you'd be over if there was a big side portion of beans!!

I dunno exactly... it is highly amusing to chase them round the room but it stresses them out and causes their hair to fall out. Apart from that its more neglect that anything.

whats the best way to cook a chinchilla then ??

skewer + bbq :D

oh if only my tennancy would allow pets i would gladly take those chinchillas from you

If you know anyone else who would like them i'd be eternally greatful if you could let me know!

Cheers

you Mean You Can Eat Them!!!

Yeah they eat like bloody goats and no pk1 i would NOT be letting you have them if i thought you were going to eat them, on judging by content of a recent thread, i think that's quite likely
