I performed an oil change myself at the weekend on my TT.

Changed filter with an OEM part and used Magnatec 10-40w.

Have checked the dipstick and the right level of oil is in the car. When i fire her up the pressure initially rises to between 4 and 6. after driving the car, the pressure drops then when i pull up and idle the engine, the needle drops to below the 2 mark.

Any ideas on what i need to do or is this ok??

Same as my oil presure, I think that its fine mate!

oil pressure should be between 30 and 60 psi during normal driving

During idle the oil-pressure should be around 10-15psi

Thanks... Set my mind at ease... Thought I had problems...

Its not all bad mate....

Is not bad at all... Just want to make sure she is running sweet.. New to all of this and learning as I go.... Gon't want to make any C**K ups.

im new as well, ive learnt everything of these guys on the forum....

All a great help...

Also the sender unit fot the guage tends to go bad after a while.

When it does, you get a proper reading when the engine is cold but as soon as you get to full temp, it reads zero on idle. New ones run at over £80 from Nissan.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Would this be a little canister screwed into the filter housing or a plug with a flexi/ spring type end screwed into the housing ?

P.S.

10 psi is less than 1 bar 30 - 60 psi is about 2-4 bar

Sounds the same as most Zeds I have seen. No need to worry. However search for oil threads, the Magnatec your using is probably not the best, I personally like Castrol RS 10-60w or Mobil 1 Motorsport 15-15w. Lots of other good oils out there though.
