Elephant are part of the Admiral / Bell Direct group but are primarily internet based. I've been told by a good mate that Elephant's claims service is dire to say the least, whereas when I had to claim from Bell Direct last year they sorted everything perfectly.

Bell let me obtain parts from Mike Feeney so I could have the bumper replaced with a 99 spec, sorted a courtesy car and got my ZX back in fine order in a couple of weeks.

I was quoted a decent premium by Elephant online but when I rang Bell for a quote, they offered to match it as they are the same company, but without any of the drawbacks of an internet based company.

Just a thought, mate.

BTW I'm not with Bell anymore - ZX is now on a 2nd (classic) car policy with Carole Nash. FC cover, 6000 miles p/a, guaranteed value, for the annual premium of £295.

Would be interesting to see what they quote you, my friend just did one and he has 1 yr NCB, came out a few hundred cheaper than me.

Cheers

Wow! maybe it's because the 300zx is more difficult to steal? or perhaps they just pay out a lot more claims for 200s than 300s

Have tried getting a quote for an s13? just wondered cause I need a run about but don't want to pay more than the Zed on a run about.

Be aware with elephant that you are locked into their 10month policies. You don't gain 1 yrs no claim at the end of the policy! its run over 10mth to make you renew the policy as the other insurance companies wont accept the 10mths no claim. They are very cheap though. They also don't cover boost controllers by the way.

Dave, not quite right there.

They do two types of policies. 10 month bonus accelerator, 10 months insurance and they give you 1 years NCB, or a standard 12 months policy.

Put your girlfriend on the policy, for elephant it really brings it down.

Last time i insured (2 yrs ago) it was £450 TPFT (just keep your nose clean and dont crash it) age 27, B62, 10,000 per year for a 12 month policy.

HTH all
