Ive been offered some R33 GTR Brembo calipers, both with new seals for £350. Are they worth it over the stock brakes ??

Yes, well worth it.

Jump on them mate, if you don't someone else will. I paid £750 for all four corners and second hand pads and discs from an r34. But the discs may be warped anyway and I'll need new pads as well soon enough. The rears arn't much different anyway, just thicker discs and brembos obviously.

R33 ones are probably better because they don't need the mounting holes drilled , and those have new seals so very nice thankyou.

By the way, the proper brembo conversions are about £3k plus. Bigger and all that, but the r34 ones fill my 18inch wheels so I can't see how you could have much bigger.

Yup...I payed £270 for my R33 GTR Brembos...:dance:

Reason being their were no pins or clips So about £50 for new seals and pins/clips etc and grand total of = £320

Stock Zed discs are 280mm

GTR ones are 324mm

Allthough the Brembos are still 4pot like ours i beleive they may have oversized pistons and are generally just a better build

Can anyone confirm the larger piston size?

 

ps...Should point out that the ones off of the R33 models are Black...well mine were anyway...think this is the norm unless you get R34's

I just bought some decent paint and now their bLiNgY Gold with new Brembo Decals off of ebay :dance:

Not sure about the pistons, but the pad area is much bigger.

If you need new disks, I think 3G now do a std size GTR 2 piece for about the same cost as the genuine brembo 1pc.

Karl if you going to drive around on stock brakes with all those mods then you need a SLAP LOL. Yes they are worth it. :cool:
