I am in shock

Must be getting soft! thought it was all bringing the tone of the site down though. Had someone at the trackday ask me about how friendly people were on the site, I said it was great but they'd heard otherwise.

I've spent the afternoon taking my brakes off and getting them ready for the r34 ones, couldn't find a big enough drill bit though and had to put it back together again! Feel quite subdued now! Thanks to neil for the cone bit, it wasn't deep enough by even half though mate, gonna try to find a place to buy one tomorrow.

On the up side though, I've taken pictures so might make an FAQ for any others doing it. Theres a few interesting bits to deal with. The disc shields have to be either cut and bent flat or removed (too much hassle ) plus I'll be drilling the holes when I get the bit. Dave

Remove your engine and attach hamster wheel as shown. Leave for three days (feed once a day) and then plonk it back in car. Remember to remove hamster when you put it into car.

Its a pretty important bit of work the cam-belt change so fair dos for asking the question, and also for absorbing all the shit flying your way, from myself included!

Dave, you're that picture is bloody brilliant mate!! :Jon

That piccy is going into my library bud.. ab fab mate!

when changing the cam belt, a "running in" cam belt should be fitted for the 1st 3000 miles, after this period it should be removed & the normal belt is then fitted. this can then be run as normal.

HTH

 :slap:

Apparently if you spray the cambelt with WD40 it reduces friction and greatly increases the life of the belt. However I have found a slight lack of power if you use this option but remember not to do this while running it in. It makes an awful mess of the hamsters fur and the poor little blighter wont get any traction on his paws.
