My car has a japenese performance ecu from Central 20 Racing

Now i guess this is set for 100 ron fuel.

So do I,

Leave it in and continue to use optimax all the time it will be ok

As above but also use octane booster

Get the Central 20 chip remapped

Sell the ecu buy a stock one and get that remapped.

Cheers

Marcus

most central20 chips I have seen are actually very well designed chips, but a little bit too aggressive for European Fuels.

Your whole reply,Lymon is interesting indeed. I was just wondering if you or anyone else has any experience of the Central 20 on the NA engine??

I know we NA people are in a minority here in the UK but we are an interested and inquiring lot really! :)

My limited experience with my car which arrived with this chip seems to bear out the rich fuel ratio bit. But just to help an inquisitive newbie a bit more can you enlighten me a bit more on what "aggressive " means in THIS context and its relationship to Octane rating??

Pleeze????

BTDC....can someone enlighten me as to what that means...something something detination cycle is it?

15'o BTDC is when it fires

Some of the early C20 chips were awful. They literally just lifted 1/2 the timing map by 5° and 1/2 by 3°.

plug your arsehole with it and check for detonation,if det occurs cut down on the madras

The thread was started on 13th May...

I will bump it up again and see if anyone supplies any updates ;)

Here is the main thread it came from:-
