just thought i would post up some pics of my attempt to retrim the interior.

its not perfect, theres a couple of ripples etc, but for £20.00 plus some glue i think its a good cheap mod!

biggest prob i had was with the evo stik glue. i used what was mentioned by others who had done this, but for some reason it melted/reacted with the original glue and thus gave me some hassle.

but apart from that it went ok :D

(pics are from my mobile so i apologise for the quality)

Cool! Retrimming those tweed bits really gives the interior the definition it should have. I guess for 20 squid, it's vinyl. You going to retrim the seats to match at some point?

wish i could afford to do the seats now. looks a bit odd with the red VINYL and tweed seats. but as they say "all in good time" or "when i got some brass"!

Looks great. Did you use the Solvent or non-solvent versin of evo-stick. (non-solvent = White and thin, solvent = Brown and thick).

The non-solvent version was useless when I did mine, but the Solvent version fantastic !

yep, used the solvent type. find that when i pasted it on the panels if it was left for much longer than 30 secs or so then it would melt the glue that was used by nissan

there is that VERY SLIM chance im a muppet and didnt do it right though

looks great mate. where did you get the kit from or did you cut it yourself?

got the vinyl from a local shop called Boyes. it cost £4.99 a meter. got 4 meters of it but you only need 3 TBH.

Am doing mine as I type....well my PA is :smash: She is doing a good job too.The leather is a bit of a pig to get to the right shape, but it's working.

The old trim on the doors is best removed with the aid of a hair dryer just to soften the glue enough. :)

The bit under the steering wheel is going to be the pig as I have to get around the hand controls to get it off. Bet no one has any ideas on that one.

Will put some pics up soon.

know how much of a nightmare it is to do this job!! im suprised that you are removing the old trim from the doors cos i got told that its to rough underneth to get a nice finish with the leather/vinyl.. i glued and stuck over it. just removed the tweed on the other panels..

if it works fella congrats i wasnt brave enought to remove the tweed on the doors..

post some picks when you have finished (or you pa has finished ;) )

I've Had All Mine Done By My Bro Who Does It For A Living And He Used Some Thin Foam Over The Top Of The Original Tweed And The Alcantara On Top Of That. It Gives A Nice Padded/luxurious Look/feel To It. Everything Still Fits Perfect And Looks The Biz... He Even Did My Daughters Booster Seat To Match Rest Of The Retrim.
