well when my hose going to the drivers side turbo split the other day i had to top uo with an awful lot of water, well this has to come out plain and simple.

 

today i got given this little lot for nowt from one of my clients.

 

ok for those of us (namely me) who havent got a fkn clue on flushing the coolant on me swb jap 2str. please fill me in..

 

oh.. you better make it real simple.. i mean if its not got a circuit board and needs electricity im fkd!!!!! :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal

ok i wont use any flushing agen, i havent bought any just thought i would ask first.. i will fill the rad with hot water in the morning and give that a good shake about before re attatching it to the car, get the last of the shit out (hopefully).

 

any way heres the plan..fill with water only idle on drive for 15-20 mins top up as needed.

 

turn car off, drop hose and empty, flush once more then re connect pieps and fill with coolant and water and top up again while idles indrive.. top up as needed over next few days..

 

that ok?

update..

 

ok i filled it up with water after refitting the pipes and radiatior, got it up to temp then flushed the water out, only a small amount of shit came out last bits and all..

 

however i was still cleaning shit out of the radiator all day today, there was loads in there.. also i took the pipe off from the bottom of the rad and the engine inlet and flushed that as it was coated in brown gunk..

 

well so far the car has taken 3 bottles of coolant and 3 bottles of water 6litres combined, bearing in mind that my matrix is bypassed, i will keep water and coolant in the boot for a week or so and top up as needed, but it seems fine..

 

many thanks again guys. i noticed it taps a little in the engine but i think it just needs tuning etc by ryan.

 

so next is oil change, gearbox oil change and i might have the clutch checked as i still havent had reciepts for the "supposed clutch fitting" that he said was done before i got the car, so i will just get ryan to check it and replace if need be... oh and the old cam belt etc can be done.. not much then really!! :shock: :shock: :shock:
