what is it with these max power boys? Today we were going up the garege and behind us on this single carriageway was this astra lol. My dad says oi look theres a boy racer in an astra behind. I looked round and saw the evo 7 bonnet attempt and thought 'max power' right away. The next part is where it gets funny. There is a car in front turning right so we slow down to bout 10mph then as he turned this guy in the astra was giving it all it was wprth to get past us, so me dad gave it some poke, bearing in mind that the autobox was in hold mode and the engine was still cold therefore safety boost (yeah i know u shouldnt thrash it when cold). Anyway we looked in the rear view and saw him in the right hand lane lol. Anyway we go up to the island and turn the corner, we go slow cos we needed to fill up and the station was only about 200m away. Anyway he went screaming by and the pasenger was giving us the finger.

As far as I'm aware the Vauxhall Astra wasn't built in Japan...and therefore isn't a "Ricer".

To be a true "Rice Boy" you need to own a stock Honda/Toyota/Nissan etc. with a bodykit and large exhaust and/or 'performance' stickers to qualify.

rice is a general term people use to classify posers. Does'nt have to be Japanese to with stickers and etc,

1 try to make their car fast

1 try to make their car look nice

1 try to make their car "look" fast

 

first 2 can be mixed together, but the 3rd one is rice

Its not only boy racers though, we passed a guy on the M5 in a N/A MR2 with turbo stickers all over it. Its obvious its not a turbo cos turbo mr2's have big fuckoff vents on the bonnet (the bonnet bonnet not the front bonnet). We passed him like he was still and the driver had to be in his 40's, maybe he just never grew out of it.

Yeah, I had the same with a Porsche Boxter on Saturday night. When will they ever learn?

Ashamed to admit I stuck a Nissan Silvia "Turbo" sticker on my Mk 1 golf when I was 17.

 

The folly's of being young and foolish! The funniest thing was that my mates and I use to call her chuga boom cos she was diesel and sounded like a lorry and took ages to build up speed. LOL . When you floored her you'd leave a ploom of black smoke behind you, no one could overtake!!

 

Starting her in the morning was like watching a bonfire's smoke coming out of the exhaust.
