anyone make a suggestion for best kit to fit to a standard 92 n/a

Featured Replies

i have blitz sus on my tt no probs at all, watch out cause some take in water and mess up the maf when raining,

but like apache says apexi seem to be the one they go for

I was going to go twin Apexi on my 92 N/A untill i heard about the problems people where having when they where getting wet, so now i have got a Blitz filter.

Seems the best choice - talk to Danny at DTA in the traders section for a good deal.

Richard :D

Very hard to get hold of Blitz and Apexi filters at the moment huge back log i was lucky. Thanks PHNW.

i have a Stillen Hi Flow intake system on my N/A.

Consists of a K&N filter on Stillens patented cone venturi.

Normally available from Mike at MJP Eastern Auto, trader on this forum.

Apexi... I got a Twin fitted and no probs with water.......:D I had a Blitz which being metal let a lot of dampness through :( thats why i changed it.

Yep, got the same, and makes a lovely whoooshing sound. I'm told it increases n/a by 8-10 bhp.

No i'm Chris :D

well could you answer my email then Chris? :D

Will do 9am matey :)

I think the water problem is more to do with the bottom splash guard being missing, I went for the Blitz as I was told the sound you get from it is a lot nicer than other makes and I must say I am happy with the noise it makes, on the downside some people say that it doesnt filter as good as others, there was a write up on some test done in the USA a while ago where Apexi had the best filtration, Blitz the best air flow rate and HKS came out worst in general but that is all from memory and I cant find the link now sorry.

APEXERA (formerly A'PEXi) all the way. Like Chris says, you'll be lucky if your bhp increases more than 4bhp but what is more important is the increase in torque where it is needed most, ie - at low to medium rpms. The problem with filters getting wet is entirely down to water ingress from below (ie missing splashguard) and through the bumper/vented nose panel. Under the right conditions any filter will suffer water problems - this is not unique to APEXERA kits. We do these kits for £85 plus p/p and the next batch of kits should be available in the next 10 days.

Cheers!

Dan

I'm after a Apexera filter also. Any chance of a group buy getting organised?
