I had a great run tonight. Sun was out and it was warm "Strange for Scotland so you need to take advantage" Targa's off 25mile blast country road "Used it to work twice a day for 10 years so know it quite well" Short straits 2nd gear passing one car at a time and making a space to pull in :) Longer pass the lot "Driving it like a bike" 100mph with the windows down and it's not a problem.. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST DRIVERS CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED.. :dance:

Here Here. Gonna make the monster drive to see family in Glasgow sometime. I'd like to take the Zed into the highland roads up there and see if I can keep up with the tornadoes flying round the mountains!

Yep it's drivers kinda thread I'm trying to start.. "tornadoes are all fine and well but if you had 15 Million per motor Ferrari would be out a business"..

Who drivers there Zed like I do???..

P.ss I'm not a copper and even if you said you'd driven yer motor at that speed they'd still have to be able to prove it

Went on holiday to Ayrshire a few years ago in the Z. Really enjoyed it. I think my car did too :D ;)

I like speeding. Acceleration is best. nothing better than that exillerating feeling of being pushed back in your seat. Top end is OK but I am always worried that OLD BILL is going to see me and take my licence off me. I love overtaking traffic on my bike and the noise it makes is like music to my ears. Bendy country lanes??? OK but not my favourite. I dont have the bottle anymore :(

mine gets nailed everywhere. :) Targa's off when i have tha chance. road quaility is piss poor up here though. :mad:

the Daihatsu is still more fun of the twistier stuff though..

It's tractors pulling out a fields ya need to look out for around here "You come round a corner under full control enjoying yer cars handling then some twat in a 5mph Massi Fergi with a trailer full of dung pulls out forcing you to brake like a nutter" But still the roads are good and there isnt speed camera's every 200 yards :)

I drive mine like it's supposed to be driven. I have seen the rpm needle close to redline and speedo touch 180mph :) Also I love to get the back end out, its great to be able to controll a drift and then pull the car back in line :) I'll take on any car that wants it, have not lost yet.

I just plod along in my own time. Never rant the car or get involved in races :)

I've got some great video of us "playing" with the Zeds on the A-roads round here on the way to the coast, we were in a convoy of 4 cars, A Clio 182 Sport, A 1.9 (non turbo lol) Xantia and two Zeds. Man did we have fun that day...

I have blown 2 engines, 1 gearbox, and managed to eat a set of toyo proxes in 2 months....

 

I consider myself an "Enthusiastic" driver, as the driver of the ferrari 348 found out when he pulled alongside me and then tried(and failed) tokeep up, amazing how many people bottle out when you pass 135 on the speedo, and you are still accelerating!!!!! lol

I didnt blow the engines and g/box in the same 2 months..... just to clarify!!

WHY CAN'T THE MEN THAT DESIGN THESE CARS BUILD A GOOD AUTO BOX ???

 

 

Zed makes me smile every time I drive it. Even on a short run for a 15 year old car it an amazing bit of kit wish I'd discovered a 300 years ago.
