Guess you mean the arms rather than the blades.

 

I had to resort to a hammer. Unscrewed the nut to the end of the thread but don't remove. One person pull the wiperarm away from the car. The other gives the nut a sharp tap. All three came straight off that way.

I left to soak for a while with WD40 while doing other things, cam off no probs with a little tug

My current arms are rusty, new ones are 20 quid, i got sum plastic spray as well i cud use. Though im not confident as i havent sprayed anything before and it may come out all uneven. Any1 know if theres any chrome arms for the 300zx?

Please elaborate, i'm not the mechanic type, more bodge it yourself!

I've discovered if you push down on the short part of the mechanism, ie the 4" part at the end furthest from the motor bolt it comes off a doddle. Thanks gents.

I jus sprayed all 3 of my wipers. Very easy to take off and do, considering i've neva sprayed anything b4. Jus pay close attention to the instructions on the spraycan and you can't go wrong. Wipers are looking puka :)

I've sprayed all three of mine, not quite as shiny as I'd like but they look good. I'll put them on tomorrow.
