thats not the way you set your base idle!,tps as you said should be set to approx 0.44-0.45v

even this shouldnt be used but is ok on the i.a.a unit at the back by the battery there is a screw that can be a ajusted to set required idle

pic of unit. screw is shown in green

hth greg

if you drop the base idle you can then correct the TPS output, also do a ecu diagnosis whilst your at it

clean some conections as well with electric cleaner TPS MAF etc

yes i did that but it didnt make any difference . tommoro im going to adjust tickover and reset tps . And then see if the auto box will change from 1st to 2nd without a jolt . if any one else can shed some light on this i would be very greatfull . driving me mad now , thanks all

Check for air leaks.

Reset the TSP to the correct setting, and then adjust with the idle screw.

Do you have a stock intake? If so how clean are the filters?

You could try cleaning out your throttle bodies.

bad TPS reading will cause gear change problems on an auto give long delays before changing and as you say make it jolt forward

do the idle screw then TPS even reset ECU
