Karl, you know you should ask me first, I know everything, lol. There is one in Orpington, used them twice. That will be the nearest to you. Don't get them done without giving me a shout, my mate gets them done trade from there I think.......only found that out after I was looking around to get my new wheels painted.

They are quite some way away and I have been told that they have been recently taken over and new work nothing like up to scratch.

 

I have used Re-Vamp twice now, its nearer and both my experiences have been very good.

Didn't know they had been taken over. They used to be very good.

Oh yeah, used to be spot on. And its only what I've been told, so not gospel. But my mate used them not so long ago for his rims on his Audi and a few months later they are all shitty again. Whether he was unlucky or they are as bad now as I hear.

Depends on what finish you're going for I guess. If you're machining the lips (ie, diamond cut', the lacquer that's sprayed on top doesn't bond well to the metal at all. Hence flaking, chipping and corrosion. I have a set of wheels like that on my current motor and they do the same.

 

Chromed lips are the way to do if going deep dish. Much harder surface.

cool mate , Il give ya a bell as soon as she is back. Also my wheels have a chrome lip but think that should be ok to refurb...

There is also Lepsons. Think Paul C may be able to get a deal with them.
