Anyone know where in London i can get a battery as Halfords told me it's 3-4 days to special order one?????

Halfrauds wanted £50 for the slim jap style battery in my Charade, but LSUK f/k/a Lucas wanted only £22 in VAT. and they had it in stock. it came with a 2yr guarantee

try the yellowpages for motor factors, or similar.

I used my local motorfactors (Motoquip), they had one in stock and even had a choice of capacities/guarantees.

Gah - batteries are a conspiracy. Measure your duff one, and just make sure you get one that'll fit the battery tray and has the same or a little better RC, ampage etc, it's all written on the casing.

Failing that you can get one from Partco, there is one on A406 near A5 jnc I think ;)

Thanks guys ended up with one from Nissan 065 and £47 seems to work ok./...
