:headvswal Hi all I need some help desperately.

I have a major problem: I recently had my auto box sorted by VMTP but since the 1 month service the 10A ASCD fuse in the drivers footwell keeps blowing. When this occurs I only have emergency mode gears 1, 2 and D (as 3rd gear) and have to go through the sequence to change gear. I took out the ASCD cancel relay (under the bonnet just down from the battery) and it then seemed to work fine for a few months and I had the full range of gears in D. Unfortunately the fuse blew again last week even with the ASCD Cancel relay removed. It keep blowing with, or without, the relay replaced. The Auto Transmission Diagnostics suggests that there are no serious errors (10 flashes all the same) when a replacement fuse is used.

It is driving (in emergency mode) me nuts. I cannot find any logical solution, there must be a bad connection/short somewhere ... does anyone have any ideas where to look?

Thanks.

I did that and they had if for a couple of days but couldn't pin-point the prob. They said that they had done nothing to that part of the circuit anyway and all that they had done was change the oil.

I would take it to Redline or some other reputable garage, plenty of recommendations on here...

Good luck with it though!!

I'll second that! its gearbox related therefore the garage should be sorting it.

I am reasonably sure that it is not a garage problem. Everything worked fine after the initial work - full set of gear changes, cruise control etc. Then as they did a test drive after the first service (just an oil change etc.) it just went. Before that though on occasions I had to use the button on the gear shift to move it, the foot an the break would not disengage the lock. I am convinced that there is a short or a bad connection somewhere but I don't have a clue where to look. The circuit diagrams on the net or my CD are not much of a help due to poor copying.

Thanks for your advice anyway guys ... I think I need to find someone who knows ZX circuits inside out, local Nissan are not much help, they don't even have the diagnostics set-up, they only have the new stuff.
