Just wondered if there were any more zed owners in the nottingham area where i work or the loughborough area where i live?????????

The very first meet was in Notts and I popped into look at my old University at Luff so know the area well.

 

Every body did a powerslide leaving the car park and some off duty cop gave Hairsy a ticking off. V. Funny.

Oh right, ive only ever seen a silver zed think its a g plate and a red L or M reg one in notts oh apart from a long time ago i used to see this asian lad dtive a black g plate one but i think he wrapped it up (and i dont mean for christmas!!!!). I was talking to this guy from shepshed the other night called alex who has bought a white j plate uk car maunal but cant afford to insure it till the new year when he has another years no claims. Apparently there is a blue one in shepshed to with big F***ing tailpipes!!!! Ive never seen it!!!! Apperently so alex was saying the guy who owns it has something to do with an owners club and gets big disc conversions for £200!!!!

Just wondered if id ever seen it around notts. Also, has anybody been to the z centre in mappely in nottingham? Wanted to know if it was any good!!! There website seems pretty good though!!!

I am mate but i need u to look at my zed in the rides section. Do u think it has already been dropped???? The guys at my garage had to lift the car by hand to get it on the ramp!!!!

The Z center / Lukes house is on one of the big new houseing estates just going East out of Mapperly top - It is down the road from Brain Mays's ( from Queen )Gaff. He basically runs the whole show from his house / garage, so it has now store front Etc.

 

Luke was gettin his car sprayed Metalic blue last time i spoke to him - dunno if he went ahead or not !

 

Mine is a Red TT - Dont worry you will hear it before you see it - Hasn't been on the road in Notts for a year or so tho thank to work and Turbos failing Etc. Will be making a comeback in a big way around Xmas.

 

Would that be the black TT that Nas used to own - yeah he wrapped it - in a big way !

Allo mate,

 

Just checked ur ride (right minter) and looks really well with the rims n'all but deff hasn't been dropped. I think having to lift it 2 get it on the ramp is purely down 2 the type of ramp the garage has. Trusy me, it will set the car off!,

By the way, i have also jus updated my rides section with new pics of me z, check out how low it is on an 80-90mm drop on the back and 60 up front. Have to make custom camber arms for the back as its tearing up the insides of my back tyres!.

Still have the Zed and the silly Caterham.

 

I was thinking about selling the Zed as I'm doing far to many business miles and the company give me a free car if I want one. I have looked and just get bored to death with the options, so still have the Zed which is waiting for new shocks and springs to be fitted if they ever turn up.

 

It may well go this year though (reluctantly) as I have too many stupid vehicles!

 

When's your Zed back in circulation then Nico?

Glad to hear you still have the Z mate - hope it will give you many more enjoyable miles.

 

We'll have to get a Track day sorted out for the new year - me and the Duffer are looking around at the mo. You could bring the Z or the Caterham or both if you have a strudy roof rack

 

Should be back before Xmas mate, I finsihed prepping the engine last weekend - Just waiting for a bit of intake piping from Mike F - being a Dick i ordered the wrong part last time so have been held up a bit.

 

Long over due return for the new year for sure !

Nico, by far the best trackday is Jonathan Palmers Bedford Autodrome.

 

Expensive but well worth it as the class of cars is fantastic and no Nova boys.

 

Best of all there is nothing to hit as their is no Armco. It's near Luton way so convenently on the M1 for all of us.

 

I was going to do one in the new year so will advertise it on the site then.

Yeah heard that place is unreal - Friend of mine went and drove a De Tuned Formula Audi , Exige, VX, Caterham and alsorts - was very decent price for the fun also - Will check it out in the new year mate.
