Should be able to make it.

I know you've said its that NEC but is there a particular venue on or will it be an afternoon in the pub?

Hey guys!

Just to put a bit of order back into the chaos, I will be doing a little reckie today or tomorrow of the NEC area for the venue and pub possibilities. I know that the areas immediately surrounding the NEC are not exactly "kosher" shall we say ... so we may have to move a little bit further a field for the pub.

Will post my findings in the coming days and when all is finalized will post maps/directions/times etc.

Stay tuned!

Cheers wink.gif

Excellent, cheers Dan! Top banana! wink.gif

Looking forward to this now, should be a laugh and get to meet new peeps and see some more nice Z monsters wink.gif

If i can get my Zed back on the road by then,

I will be coming! I will also attend the

Z meet on the 22nd December 2001 at the NEC

Birmingham or somewhere near as yet to be

determined and advised accordingly on this

Forum LMFAO!

Without doing a reckki and using my 'knowledge' of drinking venues I can think of;

The Little Owl - Nice food, good beer and OK size car park, about 5 mins from NEC Junction of M42.

The Boat Inn - Nice Food, Better Beer, BIG car park for Tooley Doughnuts, about 6-7 mins te other way once off NEC Junction of M42.

The Harvester - Nice Food, OK food, Massive car park, 14-18 mins from NEC Junction of M42, and right by mr house in Coleshill!

I would say the Boat Inn would be bst, easy to find, ample car park, good food and beer and not far from Solihull town centre for those who wanted to drive through it for a laugh in convoy (nudge, nudge) all festive like of course.

If it is decided to go t one of these pubs I will post the exact details onth forum.

By the way did I mention the Boat Inn is a great place to go for the Z meet??? wink.gif

Nope, can't make it on the 22nd. Already booked for another meet down sarf. Unfortunately not a Zed meet, a Dragonslair meet! Which means absolutely nothing to anyone on here, but ne'er mind biggrin.gif. I am surviving on about 3 hours sleep, last seen on Thursday night biggrin.gif.

Shame I can't make it, though frown.gif.

Still, mooshn't grrroomble biggrin.gif

Just a thought, getting food from any pub or resturant on Dec 22 without booking may be a problem, unless of course Matty lad has a special plan? (Lol)

Jeff TT

Hmmm, I will try to come, but the money is a problem.

I have none. biggrin.gif

Tell you closer to the time.

Directions to the Pub (Jeff, Danny correct me if I am wrong!);

Off the M42 at Junction 6 (NEC)

Then take the A45 towards Coventry (4th exit I think)

Then first exit from A45 turn right (3rd exit) from the island

Onto the B4438 Cathrine-De-Barnes Lane, follow this for a couple of miles until you reach the next island.

Turn right (3rd exit) over the hump back bridge (not too fast) then on immidiate right is 'The Boat Inn' use far entrance to get into the large carpark.

Park your cars, Get out.

Okay - going for a reckkie now, will speak to people at the pub and make appropriate arrangements. Will report back tonight!

Signing off - Danny

Midday - Sounds good to me.

Okay, confession time. So todays reckkie will turn into tomorrow's journey. After getting the old "genuine fake" christmas tree from the attic, the remaining contents decided to make a break for freedom by piling themselves ontop of my head - not funny as I now have several bumps and two lascerations on me noggin ... Add to that nearly inpenetrable fog and a big pileup on the M6 and I decided to defer todays oddesey to tomorrow. Sorry bout that fellas but I will report tomorrow afternoon.

Cheers,

Danny

Bummer............. im working!! Shit shit shit shit shit frown.gif I really would like to have joined you

Excellent guys, mad for it!!! wink.gif

Reckkie completed and full details posted in the "upcoming events" section of this forum.

Looking forward to seeing you all!
