Does NE1 know where I can purchase a reasonable set of front rotors. Something that is better than stock and not too expensive. I am currently using Green stuff pads on stock rotors and their more warped than Gary Glitter.

Cheers,

Andy

johnny at grasshopper posted on the forum not long ago he had a set of rotors off a skyline for sale. Larger than stock, may not fit under std 16 wheels tho.

If you are after stock sized rotors then I can reccomend the Porterfield ones. They are like the Stillen and various other makes, except they do the X-drilling/grooves and they also come heat-treated to protect against warping and also means little running in. I don't think the other makes offer this. If you really want they also offer to cryogenically treatment to make them last to ages, but I decided this was a little OTT for me.

Like a few other people on here I also got the R4S pads which also require NO bedding in (unless you fit new pads and discs together), which is very nice. They are great.

I cannot reccomend bigger discs as I've not tried them.

details on the web site!

I would not reccomend metal matrix pads, although they are good they are not built for UK people "Braking from high speeds". this is what I've heard about several times on the tt.net forum, fading etc.

I've got Metal Matrix pads and haven't had a problem with them fading at all.

Ha, I new someone was bound to had them on the forum!

BTW - have you spoken to Steve the mechanic lately. I can't seam to get hold of him and he has my log books?

Cheers guys,

Johnny @ Grasshopper has sorted me out with a set of grooved EBC discs. Should go nicely with the greenstuff pads.

i would not recomend those disc ebc as i put on a pair and warped them on my first lap around the nurburgring, and i had run them in for over 500 miles, just my experience.

i see you can get skyline discs from nissan america for (ciourtesy nissan)

150 dollaers or something, now that seems like a good idea to me.
