can any one tell me if the manual box from a tt is tha same as one from an n|a cheers .

I think the box is the same but the bell housing is different.

Some minor differences require machining of casing near starter, TT has bigger flywheel & clutch surface area, etc.

 

There is always a lot of "expert" comment stating that the TT box is stronger, different gear sets, etc, but my research indicates that the internals are interchangeable. Same as Nissan Patrol and RB25, I'm told. The NA diff ratio is lower though, resulting in lower top speeds thru the gears for the NA, but TT owners often prefer to use the NA diff to improve acceleration figures.

Yes. Plenty of others have made the swap. "Search" is your friend. It's all been asked before. Also visit Tech sections in other Z BBs.

Better acceleration, but even lower 1st gear, which is already a stump-puller.
