Anyway i've got my Ecu fitted and i'm suppose to only put Optimax, what about if i can't make it to a shell garage?

 

Can i use something to compinsate on the add occasion to boost the octane or what ever or is running Optimax as much as a must as i get the impression.

 

For argument sake on a long drive like on motorways where you can't be so picky as to what you fill up with what does everyone do?

find a Tesco garage that sells the new 99ron petrol :D

BP sell Ultima which is 98ron IIRC.

otherwise use any super unleaded & avoid driving too hard!!

does every petrol station offer a super unleaded such as texaco or jet etc.

 

VPower towards end of the month once i'm in France and Belguim :D i assume thats 99 or 100 ron.

Esso's is called "supreme" and its 97ron

I use nothing but TESCOs 99ron :bow: now

I was told today that Q8 super is 99RON. Dunno whether it's true ....

apparently the RON numbers vary anyway and 2b honest you neva knw whether you are getting the full 98 or not, from what i heard it can drop a couple of points quite easily.

 

Well worth sticking some additive in if you need higher RON. Dad uses proboost in his scooby i think, aint bad money and does the trick!

in a worse case senario and you cant get shells finest just keep the car off boost and you,ll be fine mate, boost=heat+shite petrol=metalic noises :eek:

it often happens to me but i get the optimax in it as soon as poss and ime running 12-13 psi with a aggressive mines ecu and ive had no probs,but just dont send me 6 melted pistons via parcel force and say "you said it was ok"
