Just noticed a few of the zeds on here have the red brake calipers - are these just stock items painted or a particular part that you can buy (and if so where?!)

...cheers :)

hammerite is pretty good and lasts! Never mind the special caliper paint, the only thing special about it is the label and price!

Yep, it's basically the same thing in a different tin.......but costs twice as much!

Plasticote from B&Q works great. pick your colour :D

You will still need to clean up the calipers before hand but I cleaned & painted mine whilst still on the car. Looks the dogs nuts

You know it makes sense. Just take your time, make sure the caliper is nice and clean before you paint it. Don't rush and you'll be fine. I used high temp paint and its been spot on. Be patient before you try and rub the paint off the NISSAN word. Make sure it is properly dry.

I'll add this to the list of bits and pieces that I reckon I can manage myself - stopping that annoying "ping" when I go over 70, swap my jap radio out, and now a bit of painting too ;)

I sent my rears to a company down south called Biggred, they strip em down and rebuild with new seals and pistons etc before coating them in either teflon black or red. Cost 120 quid, which ain't bad considering how much the parts cost. http://www.biggred.co.uk

cheers
