Right does anyone run one of these units, as one of our customers has fitted it and requires a basic setup to get here going. Her TT is pinking alot due to incorrect mixtures.

 

If you have a document or can even relay the settings over the phone, both myself and this good little lady would be greatfull

Has she checked the base timing is OK and the obvious things like new fuel filter etc?

Unless the car is overboosting or running the wrong chip, it won't pink unless there's something wrong.

The engine was running sweet before hand.

 

Fitted was an S-AFC and an A-VCR, both these units have been fitted correctly but have not been programmed. When boosting @ and above 1 bar, det occurs. My thoughts were that the SAFC was controlling the A/F ratio thus was running lean. We expected rough running using the units defaults

 

Can you place the units in bypass mode for diagnostic purposes? also do you have some settings to use with the AFC.

Hi dave i have a super afc 2 installed and i am only running apex twin induction and sports cats 50 pecent loss in backpressure and i have just hit 10 P.S.I and 346bhp at fly so if its over a bar its modded elswhere i would say also if you go to the apex site U.S. ithink the instructions are downloadable if you still get stuck i have afc2 on disc BE WARNED its 80 pages only about 25 are settings. You will need adobe to open it hope this helps i have attached it to reply but i,m shit with a pc.

Best just set it all up for 0 then see if it'll run Ok like that. Is it a stock chip? If so that'll be the problem at 1 bar.

To be honest I'd just forget the S-AFC and sell it, they're the worst tuning device ever.

i'm running one too. It was installed and RR'd by THOR, but i dont think theyve made any changes to the setup cos they said my fuelling was pretty good anyways. You can tell if there have been any changes made - one of the screens will show you how much of a % change was made at different RPMs.
