Can Anyone Tell Me What This Kit Is Like??? Ive Been Told It Is The Older Kit And Has Been Upgraded Now Ive Been Offerd But Just Need To Check If Its Any Good??

Featured Replies

i dont know what would have been upgraded in the kit but the 2530's are dogs danglies turbos

they have internal wategates so perhaps a kit now comes with divorced wastegate downpipes

unless you have a serious engine build they will supply more air than you engine will take - have fun

regards,

cool sounds like the pupies for me due to the new winter engine secret upgrades cheers

Haven't heard of a replacement for the 2530 kit but am always willing to be enlightened, the 2530's are meant to be good but have been outshined by the JWt 530's or the pe1420's of late!

Topless Is It A Good Kit??? Will It Be Ok On A Mild Modded Engine For Now?? Will Be Doing Lots More Work Soon On The Engine

This Might Be A Job For Zen Garage Near Me Mate. Which Reminds Me I Still Havent Got Hold Of ,martyn Yet Will Have To Sort That Out

It is a very good kit but it all depends what price you get it at and if it is brand new?

If it's a 2530 and not GT2530 then they're non BB turbos, so more laggy than the GT2530. Depends if you want to live with that really.

I presume its the ones off ebay?

Be very careful as you could be buying a kit for any car so make sure you get some cast iron proof that there for a 300zx and as JD said if there a few years old they are not the newer GT series so they may be a decent turbo but laggy.

IMHO the HKS GT2530 kit is the best turbo kit on the market as its the most proven kit in alot of cars, i havent seen any proof of the PE's or JWT in this country that they are reliable or produce decent power!? nor saying that there a crap turbo but if your shelling out a few thousand £££'s on turbos then you have to be 110% sure that there gonna last. Greddys are another proven turbo, bit laggy due to not being ball bearing but at least you will get a proven turbo.

:)
