a reg vw polo, my dad who works in a body shop did it all up for me, sprayed it red, red wheel trims, red bumpers, red wing mirrors, red grille, yep all red, was great at the time but bit like a scooter!!

A 1974 Mini thou but I got adventurous and fitted a £40 1275 just to beat someone at work who also had a Mini thou but always managed whoop my ass cos it was newer. Enjoyed burning it off afterwards :) but I'll never forget going up a slim road at 90 then discovering there were no brakes :eek:

Yeh i remember when i pased my test my dad bought me a 1962 850 mini and the first thing i did was put a mini cooper engine in it with 28/36 webbers,hi lo suspension and a jenson interceptor tailpipe on the end of a straight through exhaust with a mini van diff.

That thing would leave anything standing up to 60,and whistle like a banshee when you changed gears. :D

1st car was MK3 Cortina, 2.0 GXL my dad gave me, first car i bought myself was a MK1 Cortina with Rover 3500 and Jag rear axle, was the dogs.

My cars before the zed were a 2.8i Supra Mk2 and then the 3.0 Turbo Mk3 - brilliant cars!!!!! - dare I say even better build quality than the zed.

I had a Renault 17 ts very rare now havnt seen one for over 15 years!! does anybody no what these cars looked like? [i cant help with pictures just curious if any body knew what they looked like]

I didn't have a 17 but I remember one in the same street as me with a full length Electric folding sunroof.

 

My first car was a green Vauxhall Viva which I kept for 3 years. After that I bought a white Triumph stag. Five Zeds and God knows how many other cars later, I still have that same Stag 19 years on.

my first was a 1988 Mk2. Cav 1.3 which I got from someone for £40 who was about to scrap it. Got it from the seller's house to my mate's house then couldnt get it to start again. :headvswal ended up scrapping it for him.

my first drivable car was a 1.3 Mk2. Astra automatic that was about ten different shades of red.

Matchbox, then a corgi, eventually moved onto Tonka, :tongue: then downgraded to a 1.0 lt Nova, Audi 80, Toyota Celica then the zed :dance:. Now drive a diesel golf 150 and the zed at weekends when its back from the paintshop.
