ive had my 300 twin turbo recently converted to a manual which im very happy with. its also been decatted, stainless back boxes and a 70bhp ecu and boost upgrade. today at york dragway i was managing a 1/4 mile of 14.2 at 101mph. do you think this is about right, thought it a bit slow myself .........got wasted by an m3 evo!!? i got a blitz air filter to fit but sure it isnt guna make much difference! any ideas? felt it was hesitating in higher revs, as though it was underfuelled (always run on optimax). thanks! :nana2:

not too sure to be honest with you, but i know it included a new ecu (obviously!), and some pipework was done , as said not entirely sure though (cost £350ish) .im not complaining with the job ive had done, i just thought car should be quicker, would you agree or are these times about right?

I just wondered what you exactly had done ,, I'm no way knocking what was done, just interested tis all.

I guess it isn't that bad .. depends if you have experience at 1/4 mile or not ..

Technique has a lot to do with it.

Right, well that is on the max if you have stock tubs ...

Sure Chunk or Pete will be able to help more as they regularly go to the pod ..

was my first go at this but didnt think technique was too bad, was getting off line nice and quick without too much spin.....just feeling a bit sore after getting beaten by an m3 and a gto and a cosworth (well tuned up mind you).........wasted the impreza though!

I belive low-to-mid 13s is possible with that sort of setup, but as mentioned, a lot of it is down to technique.

Ahhh, Didn't see your edit ... what chip is it running and do you have a boost controller or jets?

my auto 300zx did a 14.4 running about 12 psi, never did manage to get it on the strip when it was running 15 psi, i should have imagined i would have sneaked under the 14 sec barrier.

I still had the cats fitted aswell

not sure what chip it is just whatever standard one zedworld uses, and no i havent got a boost controller although i have been advised to get one.

there you go then, fairly good time .. improve your technique bud ...

back to the strip then........................... (thanks, its good being able to get advice from fellow zed owners!) :hyper:

profec e-01

Isn't stock time for the 1/4 14.4?

yep, low 14's for a UK(280bhp) TT 2+2. High 13's for a US(300bhp) TT SWB

yes but who actually hits it???????

any kind of boost controller recommended?

I've got a profec B1, but I had a Apexi before. The profec is more suited to my interior upgrades (planned not done yet) but I think the Apexi is a better boost controler.

is there any model apexi you would advise, dont suppose you know where or how much? :nana2:

what kind of 60ft time did you get? that'll tell us how good/bad a start you got.

PS I've managed a 14.1 at 7psi :D (don't ask, had the boost controller off by accident :slap: )

quickest was 2.352 (one printout says .975 but think its wrong!) slowest 2.650.......good or bad? :nana2:
