Suppose you had £20,000 (not that I have!) to buy a car.

It's got to be useable everyday and reliable but fast and cool looking too.

What would you go for?

Featured Replies

LOL I chose the right car back in Jan,it is useable everyday and reliable but not fast,I have that in my weekend car;) Oh yea and cost more than 20k with extras :slap:

i test drove the s2000 when it first came out and was very very imprressed - if you want really practical - scubie b1 - audi rs6 - volvo t5r - or you could go for something mad like a ford p150 lightning or the chevy cyclone ...so may choices

alex

Sporty choice..... Evo, 350z or R32/33 GTR!

Family choice......Audi A4 or Beemer M5

Convertable........S2000 or Boxster

4WD.................Range Rover or Jeep Cherokee

Luxury..............Jaguar XJR

Classic..............Alfa Romeo Giuletta or Triumph TR5

Will that do :D

I would purchase a EVO or Scooby and spend the rest on making it worthwhile and more fun

S2000, brother had one a few years ago. feckin great car to drive.

only problem with the s2000 it has one gear to many and short annoying gear ratios apart from that there lovely

lexus is 200 or evo 4 or newer [familey car]

99spec z TT[sports car]i wish

for me 20k is mega money and having been transformed into a tight arse by my zed I would probably see what kind of porsche I could pick up for 20k as they seem to hold thier value pretty well..

.....

4WD.................Range Rover or Jeep Cherokee......

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!! They are horrible to drive, ugly as fook, rear seat space is crap and the dials are hideous :D

The Range Rover is OK though ;)

Boxster S,

Volvo T6R AWD

VW WR8 AWD

Series 1 Monaro

XK8R

What I'll really do is get a SWB N/A Slick top. Gut it Do all the supspension, big brakes, wheels and body kit. With a small block 5.5 ford V8 6 speed box and Supercharger.

Hot Dang Diggerty Wallop.

Lotus Esprit

Lotus Esprit

Who yer!!! I forgot about the Esprit. Would have to be the last face lift with the V8. MMMMMMMMMMMM yum yum.

I've been thinking about an XKR for a couple of months now but there's hardly any difference in performance over the ZX, they don't look any better than the ZX and around here in South Buckinghamshire they are pretty common. So why spend the extra money? ;)

I did consider a TVR Cerbera but I hear they are not reliable

Although I have seen on Autotrader, a late-ish model (1994 M) Porsche 928 GTS (the 5.4 litre V8 360bhp monster one) in Midnight blue with cream leather and 50k on the clock for just under £20K.

That is a very tempting prospect, one worth giving up the ZX for even......? :slap:

Richard :p

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
