anyone know how i can make my standard exhaust less noisy?

i've just pass my car at french DVLA for homologation and they say:your car make 14 Db :confused: more than nissan told us?

Maybe add an additional silencer? dont know if that would work.

somebody tell me to cut the X pipe and put some rockwhool into?

is it a good idea,my X pipe is already cut by rust(repair)so it's not a problem to cut it.

Ok most aftermarket exhausts make more noise so we need to think about cause / effect / cure.

 

Standard exhaust should be no problem for France DVLA as standard 300ZX was sold there.

 

Is it more noisy because it has holes? ("already cut by rust"?).
