Hi,

I have only just joined here and already need some help. My ZX is a 1991 TT 2+2 with 50,000 miles on the clock. She is pretty standard but I have just had something disturbing happen. I hadn't checked the water for some time and the car was running good with no overheating. Last weekend I checked the rad and put some 3 kettles of water in. Since then I have only done about 10 miles and the temp guage went loopy!!!, right off the clock. I managed to get it home but now when I pour water in the rad it pours straght out from somewhere at the back of the engine. Any ideas????? or help would be appreciated.

It is most likely the heater matrix hoses that have gone, have a look at the back middle of the engine for some 'S' shaped hoses.

Cheers,

Mathew
