Is There Some Sort Of Vacuum Pressure Release Valve For The Fuel Tank?

Went To Fill Up Today And The Fuel Cap Was Being Sucked On Harder Than Linda Lovelace!

Drove Home About 3 Miles And Vacuum Was Back Again. Must Be Giving The Fuel Pump A Hard Time.

dont believe there is a breater on this system, as there is a pressure releif system in the cap.

Mine did this too.....

If it is a problem you could always drill a small hole in the tank to relieve the pressure.....NNNNNNOOOOOOO...... :x:

Strange coz mine is always being pressured to blow off  rather than sucked on :x:

  Not what it sounds like

Mine always has pressure behind it not vaccum, the question was asked on here and we were told pressurising is normal , its a easy way to tell whether you have a leak or not .

Now i am confused. :headvswal

colin must have got confused in the excitment ? and dont no if she was blowing or sucking :-)

The fuel tanks normaly have pressure rather than vacuum, the fumes are recirculated through the carbon canister behind the near side front bumper, this is vacuum operated from the plenum, possibly a fauly there somewhere causing the problem.
