Toyo tyres

Just thought i'd share my personal opinion.

I had a set of Falken Azenis tyres on my car which were i thought were really good and I quickly wore them out drifting round every roundabout i came to. I have replaced them with Toyo Proxes T1-R's which cost me nearly £250 for 2 rears. I went out in the rain a little while ago and tried drifting but the car would not let go. I also tried to launch hard and got no wheelspin at all - and this is in the rain. These tyres are amazing and would definately recommend them. They have given me so much more confidence.

stuff that

id rather have the drifting :hyper:

I had them on my S13 200sxm and they were great, but wear out quickly!! Where did you get them though, and what size, as £250 is a lot. Used to pay £50 for 205/55/15's are they that more expensove for bigger ones?

Dai

Just got a set of toyo proxes myself. Not had a chance to test them yet though.

I just had 2 rear Toyo Proxis T1-S fitted and i'm amazed at how much the car grips compared to my old falcans. Don't know if the T1-R is any better though.

Recently changed from T1-S's to T1-R's and now wish I'd taken the last set of T1-S's the tyre guy had available. Lost a lot of confidence since swapping over. S's had much better grip !!

I'm told the new tyre was designed to address the outside edge wear issue that they've always had (hence the new tread band around the outside). Unfortunately it seems to be detrimental ! I'd much rather have the extra grip and change my tyres a bit more often personally !

If you've never run on Toyo's before I can see how you'd still be impressed though ! ;)
