HI folks its turbo changing time.

In the next couple of weeks im gona pull my engine to change my turbos.

I have a 90 SWB auto and was wondering can i leave the gearbox in the car and just undo the bellhousing bolts? Is there enough room to drag the engine forward to clear the torque converter? And do i realy have to remove the alternator and power steering pump?(didnt realy look when i changed my cambelt :smash: )

Any help moochly appreciated.

MTL is the expert at this :)

he removes his box with the auto box in place, also you can leave the auxiliary pumps int he bay, just cable tie them off to the side when you have unbolted them from the engine.

Steve you will need to undo the 4 bolts holding the drive plate to the torque converter the TC will then stay in the gearbox , its gonna be a knightmare if you leave the TC attached trying to put the engine back in as the TC has a locating key, Alternator and power steering pump just need to be undone and not removed same with the starter motor, Good Luck :hyper:
