hi,

probably been asked many times but im finding the tt a bit of a beast pulling out of turns at speed a little tricky. foot down, short jerk on steering wheel is what im told. ill try anything not to be caught out in a full tail spin.

Experts please  by the way im talking about normal traffic driving!!

Foot down, jerk on steering way - would definatly induce some serious sideways action when pulling away in a Powerfull RWD Car !

Its all about smoothness. You dont need much throttle to pull away quickly for normal traffic driving.

...and the Tyres you have make a huge difference when trying to put down all that power !

I have noticed, when you think you are pulling away quite slow in the Z you are actually pulling off quite fast compaired to other cars.

Jerking the steering wheel is not going to help. As Legrath said, you have to be smooth.

When pulling out quick, dont increase the throttle position. I find that if you put it about 25%-33% down, and use the clutch to pull off but then dont put the accelerator down any more.

you should only put the throttle all the way down in 1st when its totally dry and you are driving straight.

thanks guys. should've mentioned its an auto.

In that case just ease the throttle in to about 1/3 of the way down.

You will learn how much accleration you can use while pulling out. Its a case of dont accelerate hard while pulling out, and then add more power when you straighten up.

buy the drift bible will teach you all you need to know trust

or fit traction control, select desired amount of slip then floor it!! :D :D

yep think your right to find a good quiet open space and practice.

but dont think there is any such thing as empty car parks anymore :( ............and if there is theyre locked up at night because of messers in their starlets and twincams.

Its nice the way it gives you a scare now and then though, keeps the blood flowing
