Hello peeps, any advice on the following matter would be greatly appreciated :dance:

I have bought a set of de-cats & down pipe things, got a mech round today to fit them. He's removed the cats no problem but says he can't remove the down pipes without lowering or moving out the gearbox. Is there a special technique to this or is he just not trying hard enough :slap: :p

He's not working on a ramp so cant get 'box out enough to finish the job & i'm a bit gutted 'cos i wanted to take it for a hoon tonight :cry: :cry:

p.s it's a Twin Turbo if it makes any difference.

It's true he has to drop the engine off its mounts and he wont do that without it being on a ramp very easily

i've also read that you can access those bolts by removing the master brake cylinder if you don't want to drop the box

If its an auto it can be done without moving or lowering anything,I did mine about 6 weeks ago.Not the easiest of jobs but it can be done.
